As I Am Naturally

I was asked by a friend why I choose to wear my hair like this? I never really thought about until then. I mean really thought about it. I have come up with an answer. It is my choice. I call my kinks,coils, and curls my state of mind. I have come to the conclusion that my natural state of mind is my choice, and I LOVE IT! It never does what I think it will, it never lays where I think it should. It is constantly changing and evolving just as I am. So, to my kinks, coils, and curls, as I loving refer to you my state of mind...we make no excuses. We are going to continue to grow just as big and wild as we wanna be!

Ice Storm

An ice storm hit my area and I was without power for over a week. It is truly amazing to me to think of how people survive before indoor plumbing, electricity and gas.

I have never been so cold in my life.

The Big Chop

Okay I finally did it. I couldn't take it one more day. I did the big chop and I couldn't be happier.

My goal

I've been transitioning for 5 months now, and I've finally done a braid-out I like.

One day I will have hair as fierce as Ms Tanika Ray's >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

This is my ultimate goal. But, with about 3 in. of new growth and another 4-5 in. of relaxed hair it really seems to be taking forever.
